Desert boots, chukkas, with the classic crepe sole, made with a so-called Stitchdown construction. This means that the upper is turned outwards and stitched to a leather midsole, onto which the rubber sole is then attached. They can be easily re-soled by a cobbler.
A relaxed shoe model that is ideal for spring and autumn. Made on the round toe box last S292, in medium brown Repello gum oil suede from the well-known British tannery Charles F. Stead.
Note that on this type of Stitchdown construction there are often marks in the uppers from the sole stitching machine, this is normal and it often becomes less visible over time when the shoes have been worn. Also, linings and stiffeners are turned outwards (because of this, soft celastic stiffeners are used here, in order to be able to bend them in the required way) and can therefore be visible along the edge.
