A wonderfully relaxed version of chukka boots, desert boots, with a classic crepe sole that makes the shoes extremely comfortable. Made with a Stitchdown construction, where the upper leather is turned outwards and stitched onto a leather midsole, to which the rubber sole is then attached. Can easily be re-soled by a cobbler.
Made in soft but durable Repello gum oil suede from the renowned British tannery Charles F. Stead, on last S292 with round toe box. A casual shoe that is great for spring, summer and autumn.
Note that on this type of Stitchdown construction there are often marks in the uppers from the sole stitching machine, this is normal and it often becomes less visible over time when the shoes have been worn. Also, linings and stiffeners are turned outwards (because of this, soft celastic stiffeners are used here, in order to be able to bend them in the required way) and can therefore be visible along the edge.
